About
Hi, my name is Jen. I am a fourth year student at the University of Technology Sydney studying Primary Education.

The purpose of this blog will be to share reflections on current issues and applications in educational computing. Hopefully over the next few weeks I will review literature and post thoughts of my own.
To find out some more about me you could visit my website.
I thought it would also be beneficial to share my current views on e-learning in the classroom before launching into posts on this blog.
In the 21st Century children are growing up in a technology filled world. Kids are using computers, mobile phones, iPods and numerous other items on a daily basis. I believe that teachers can more effectively engage students by incorporating technology into the classroom. Students can create, share and learn through technology; work collaboratively with students from or beyond their own school and have access to a vast ocean of information!
I particularly like the idea of children as designers. Students can create blogs, podcasts, websites and movies to share their work with others. Technology also provides great resources for teachers, both for planning and professional development.
